Process
- Tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll answer any questions you may have.
- Complete and send (via mail or fax) the order form along with a 50% deposit (please refer to Payment Methods above).
- Select and send photographs that best express your child’s character. They may show a typical pose or expression. Or portray them in their favorite outfits (princesses, knights, fairies and cowboys welcome!) and/or with their favorite toys. Photographs should be no smaller than 4″ x 6″ and with the subject in focus whether in a digital or print format. You may also submit some of your child’s own drawings, hand/foot prints or pieces of fabric to be included in the collage. However, please keep in mind that not all the material submitted may be used in the artwork.
- Review one or two composition sketches demonstrating the basic elements and images. Upon approval of one sketch, work on the final portrait begins.
- The final artwork is posted online for overview. Now is the time to discuss any refinements.
- Simply send the remaining payment upon receipt of the invoice and your child’s portrait will be shipped.
Note: The best time to order reproductions, T-shirt transfers or place mats—which make excellent gifts for, say, grandparents—is while we still have the original artwork.
If you feel timid about surprising someone with a portrait of their kid(s), GIFT CERTIFICATES are also available to offer the gift of a portrait based on their preferences.
General Terms
- All commissioned artwork requires a 50% deposit before commencement.
Payment in full is due prior to shipping of artwork. Credit cards (through Paypal), money orders and personal checks are accepted. Payment by check requires 7 business days to clear before shipment of painting. Checks returned NSF will be assessed a $25 handling charge.
- Allow a 3-week turnaround time for commissioned artwork (shipping excluded).
- Upon payment in full, the artwork becomes the personal propety of the
customer. The artwork is for personal usage only. Commercial reproduction
rights are not granted by the artist without express permission. The artist retains the right of display for promotional usage unless otherwise noted.
- The customer is soley responsible for obtaining the required authorization for use of submitted photographs and any other material.
- Two rounds of refinements are included in the listed price. There will be an
additional charge for work requested beyond the two rounds of refinements.• All prices are in US dollars.
• Cost of shipping (and crating when applicable) is additional and will be
calculated based on the size of the finished piece, destination and carrier.
• Products and reproductions derived from the commissioned artwork must
be paid in full at the time of their order.
• Prices are subject to change without notice.
PAYMENT METHODS: We accept personal checks and money orders by mail. Or you can pay online by major credit card using PayPal. Just let us know, and we’ll send you an invoice by email with a link to our secure PayPal account. PayPal will then guide you through the process online.

RETURN OF SUBMITTED MATERIALS: Photographs and other submitted
materials will be returned to you upon completion of the portrait. When
providing valuable originals, we recommend that you use a reliable carrier;
we cannot be responsible for the loss of material in transit.
